Technical Specifications
Product Overview
- The OSTEO KJ3000 series ultrasonic bone densitometer, is a device for calcaneal ultrasonic bone density detection. It has a dynamic and attractive appearance. The series uses oil - sac probes, ensuring good comfort and stable test results. Adopting a new generation of hardware technology, its software interface is beautifully designed, easy to operate and learn, providing a relatively good user experience. It supports the Android system and can realize linkage control with Android mobile phones and tablet computers (applicable to OSTEO KJ3000+, OSTEO KJ3000M/M+, and OSTEO KJ3000S+).
Working Principle
- Electrical pulses are sent to the ultrasonic transducer to make it emit ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic waves penetrate the heel of the subject and reach another ultrasonic transducer. Since the ultrasonic speed and attenuation vary when passing through different bone densities, by calculating SOS (speed of sound) and BUA (broadband ultrasonic attenuation), the ultrasonic bone densitometer obtains parameters such as the subject's T-Score (T-value) and Z-Score (Z-value). These parameters are then displayed on the monitor or printed by a printer for doctors' diagnosis and reference.
Software Functions and Parameters
(1) Parameters
It can measure and display parameters including SOS, BUA, bone quality index, T - value, Z - value, adult ratio, peer ratio, BMI, height prediction, and bone biological age.
(2) Database
There is a drop - down list in the software, allowing users to select among "Asian", "European", "Middle Eastern", or "African" populations.
(3) Animation Playback
When the subject is under 8 years old, the measurement interface is different from that for subjects aged 8 or above. An animation is played on the right half of the interface to attract the attention of child subjects, ensuring that their feet do not move during the measurement.
Product Configuration (Standard Configuration)
- The ultrasonic bone densitometer consists of the main unit, foot auxiliary table, calibration module, USB cable, power cable, and software.
- Recommended External Equipment Configuration
- The OSTEO KJ3000S and OSTEO KJ3000S+ ultrasonic bone densitometers have built - in computers, integrated LCD screens, and built - in printers. They can work without external devices or be connected to an external color printer to print color reports. Other models of ultrasonic bone densitometers require different external devices.
